1. Who we are
DAFONet provides software products and services, including CRM, procurement, event lead capture, and related business workflow tools. In this Privacy Policy, “DAFONet”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator of the DAFONet services available through dafonet.com and related applications.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with our public website, product accounts, customer workspaces, support interactions, and connected third-party services that a customer chooses to authorize.
When our customers use DAFONet to process information about their own leads, contacts, customers, or end users, we may act as a service provider or processor on their behalf. In those cases, the customer controls the purposes for which that information is used, subject to our service terms and applicable law.
3. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and workspace information, such as name, email address, company name, role, billing details, and settings used to provision or operate a workspace.
- CRM and workflow data entered by customers, such as contacts, companies, opportunity records, notes, files, and related communications.
- Communication data, such as emails, message content, message metadata, delivery events, sender and recipient identifiers, timestamps, phone numbers, and conversation history when customers connect messaging or email channels.
- Device, log, and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, feature usage, referring URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
- Support and inquiry information, such as information included when contacting us by email, web forms, or customer support channels.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve DAFONet services;
- authenticate users and administer customer workspaces;
- process and display CRM, procurement, messaging, and workflow records;
- send, receive, route, and store business communications authorized by our customers;
- monitor performance, detect abuse, investigate incidents, and enforce our terms and policies;
- respond to support requests, legal requests, and operational notices; and
- comply with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
5. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on bases such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing our services, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required.
6. How we share information
We may share personal information in the following circumstances:
- with service providers and infrastructure vendors that help us operate the service;
- with integrated third-party platforms that a customer explicitly authorizes, such as Meta services;
- within a customer workspace according to that customer's configuration and access permissions;
- if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on account status, customer instructions, backup cycles, and legal requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or request portability of certain personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If we process personal information on behalf of a customer workspace, requests relating to that information should normally be directed to the relevant customer first, since that customer controls the data in its workspace.
10. Meta and WhatsApp features
If a customer connects a Meta service, including WhatsApp Business integrations, we may process account identifiers, phone numbers, message content, attachments, delivery statuses, conversation metadata, business profile information, and webhook events needed to provide the connected service inside DAFONet.
Connected messaging data is processed only to provide the requested messaging functionality, maintain CRM records, support customer workflows, secure the service, and comply with legal obligations. Customers are responsible for obtaining any permissions, notices, and opt-ins required for their use of messaging channels.
Use of Meta, WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram features may also be subject to the privacy terms and platform rules of Meta and its affiliates.
11. Children's privacy
DAFONet services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by other appropriate means.
